She told Vogue, “The album is crazy from a genre standpoint; it is genre-bending, and I believe it is a really personal glimpse inside my head as a producer and the way I think about music.

“When I compose, produce, and sing songs, I constantly draw on my knowledge of music history, as well as the work of many artists and producers before me.

“In that way, this album is a celebration of a lot of the music that made me who I am, because when I returned to a darker pop style of pop, all my early experiences with music came out.”

Sharing further information about the as-yet-untitled album, which fans refer to as LG7, the Born This Way star stated, “I created a lot of different fantasies and escapes.

“The only time reality is truly present is when these imaginations come from a real person attempting to ease their inner turmoil. That’s where I discovered the reason I make music. Each song is an exercise in personal chaos–a technique to cope with myself.”
