The second annual People’s Choice Country Awards are here, so get excited, country fans.

Morgan Wallen won People’s Artist of the Year, Jelly Roll won Male Artist of the Year, and Lainey Wilson won Female Artist of the Year at the previous year’s festival. Before passing away from stomach cancer, legendary country musician Toby Keith performed one last time on television, belting out a gritty, deep version of “Don’t Let The Old Man In.”

Blake Shelton, the longtime coach of The Voice, took home the Social Country Star award, which he bravely accepted despite not understanding. “I have no idea what this means, but I will put it on my mantle if that’s what the fans want!” Lover of country music, I’m really grateful. Yes, it is correct! You read correctly, social media! Yes!” he exclaimed, drawing chuckles and cheers.
