As his global smash ‘Beautiful Things’ sits at #1 on the UK Official Singles Chart after six weeks in the Top 5, pop sensation Benson Boone has announced that his highly anticipated debut album ‘Fireworks & Rollerblades’ will be released on April 5th via Night Street Records / Warner Records.
Benson teases the album with the melancholy, piano-driven new single ‘Slow It Down’. The music follows his big US Platinum hit ‘Beautiful Things,’ which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 list and spent four weeks at #1 on the Billboard Global list, with over 600 million plays to date. ‘Beautiful Things’ and ‘Slow It Down’, as well as his previous big hits ‘Ghost Town’ (certified Silver in the UK) and ‘In the Stars’ (certified Gold), will appear on ‘Fireworks & Rollerblades’.
Benson Boone’s ‘Fireworks and Rollerblades’ world tour begins next month, with a series of sold-out North American gigs before traveling to Europe in May and June, and then Australia and New Zealand in September. The continuous success of ‘Beautiful Things’ and the announcement of his debut album extend Benson’s streak of major accomplishments, which includes being designated an MTV Global PUSH Artist, an Amazon Music Breakthrough Artist, and iHeartRadio’s On The Verge Artist. Meanwhile, tracks from last year’s ‘PULSE’ EP, including ‘What Was’, ‘Little Runaway’, and ‘Sugar Sweet’, received tens of millions of streams. He performed a sold-out North American and European tour before releasing his emotional single ‘To Love Someone’ at the end of the year.
Prior to the ‘PULSE’ EP in 2022, Benson released the piano ballad ‘Before You’ and the ‘Walk Me Home…’ EP, which included his breakout track ‘GHOST TOWN’, his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and a Top 25 success at both Top 40 and Hot AC radio. It was also his first RIAA-certified Gold record, followed by ‘In The Stars’, which is now certified Platinum.
