Gigi would have been thrilled with the way the women’s basketball team won yet another NCAA tournament, Kobe’s wife wrote on her Instagram page after Geno Auriemma and company thrashed South Carolina 82-59 in Tampa on Sunday.
She stated, “Gigi would’ve loved being there with you,” and then she quoted Gianna, saying, “When you think you can’t, UCONN.”

Since her NBA great father previously stated that she was “hellbent on” attending the university, many people assume that Gigi would have ended up at UConn if not for the fatal helicopter crash that claimed her and Kobe’s lives in 2020.

The Huskies won their 12th championship, although it was their first in the previous nine years.
