By now, Ice Cube has spent years attempting to get his fourth “Friday” movie off the ground.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter this week, Richard Brener, the president and CCO of New Line Cinema, stated that Ice Cube will finally be releasing his eagerly anticipated fourth Friday movie. Brener revealed plans for another series installment while talking about the company’s future. “We are making another Friday,” Brener disclosed. “We recently signed Ice Cube to write and star in our project. It will be titled “Last Friday.”
For a lot of years, Ice Cube has been trying to have a new Friday movie done. In 1995, he released the first movie, which starred him, Chris Tucker, Nia Long, Regina King, Clarance Witherspoon, and others. In addition, he published two follow-ups, Friday After Next in 2002 and Next Friday in 2000.

Mike Epps, who starred in the second and third movies, confirmed plans for a fourth movie last month in an appearance on The Breakfast Club. Epps disclosed, “[Cube] called me the other day, saying we just finished the deal.” “So, dude, we’re doing the final Friday. A special shout-out goes out to Cube, who has put on a lot of brotherly roles without really receiving recognition for it. Name them: Bernie Mac, Chris Tucker, me, etc. This man provided possibilities for other men. Although I haven’t seen the script, I believe it to be good. We will also introduce the latest comics. All of the DC Young Flys will be included alongside the originals. It’s going to be an amazing experience.

Speaking with Flavor Flav on his SiriusXM show, Flavor of the Week, last year, Ice Cube initially alluded to having some optimism again after years of the project failing. “We’re addressing it. With Warner Bros., we at last gained some traction,” Cube remarked at the time. “My man Mike De Luca, who was at New Line when I first started, when I did the first ‘Friday,’ ‘Players Club,’ and ‘All About the Benjamins,’ is their new leader.” It was Mike De Luca.He is currently in charge of Warner Bros. “What the f*ck is going on with Friday?” he and my man Michael Gruber said.
