The country music sensation Morgan Wallen is now selling “Get Me to God’s Country” items on his website, seemingly capitalizing on his contentious Saturday Night Live viral moment.
Over the weekend, Wallen created a sensation when he left the stage during the show’s last seconds and then shared an image of an airplane with the comment, “Get Me to God’s Country,” on his Instagram story. The statement appears on t-shirts and trucker caps that cost $45 each.
According to a person with knowledge of the situation, it wasn’t a planned moment and that Wallen and Bravado, the merchandise division of Universal Music Group, had already started talking about the item as early as Sunday, when the singer’s post went viral. The merchandise appeared on Bravado’s website on Tuesday afternoon after the design was completed on Monday.

For days, many have been wondering what occurred after the “Last Night” singer’s sudden Instagram post and dip, and Wallen hasn’t responded. Wallen also performed the walk-off at dress rehearsal, a source informed The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday. Additionally, Wallen was invited to appear in the Saturday airing of the musical sketch “Big Dumb Line,” but according to a source, he was unavailable, so Joe Jonas played the role.

In the past, Wallen has courted controversy. In 2021, for example, he was caught on camera uttering the N-word, which temporarily damaged his career. His first appearance on Saturday Night Live was canceled in 2020 after a video showing him violating social distancing rules during the pandemic’s peak leaked. Two months later, he would officially make his on-screen debut.

Earlier this week, Kenan Thompson gave his thoughts on the relocation in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Thompson remarked, “I’m not sure what people think about when they make decisions like that.” “I don’t know whether he truly felt a certain way or whether he understood the assignment.”
SNL writer Josh Patten, who claims to be a fan of Wallen, made fun of the circumstance by highlighting a Krispy Kreme truck with the words “God’s Country.”
