The UFC star added in a statement, “There was no award for exemplary or aggravated damages; the judge’s instruction and the low award given were for assault. I regret that not all of the evidence that the DPP examined was presented to the jury.
He continued, “I am with my family, focused on my future.”
In Ireland, Conor McGregor lost his civil rape case after a jury found him guilty of assault.
After a 2018 Christmas party, Nikita Ni Lamhain alleged that McGregor and another man had sex with her against her consent, and the case had been ongoing for the entire month.

After the holiday get-together, Ni Lamhain, also known as Nikita Hand, said the UFC star picked her and her buddy up and drove them to a nearby hotel. McGregor allegedly pushed himself on her on a bed in a penthouse suite while she was there. She added that she was later sexually attacked by another man, James Lawrence.
Both McGregor and Lawrence had vehemently refuted the accusations, with the 36-year-old fighter asserting that their meeting was completely voluntary.

However, it is evident that the jurors in the case did not accept McGregor’s version of events, and they gave Ni Lamhain a damages verdict of about $250,000. They did note in their decision that they did not believe Lawrence had assaulted the woman.
McGregor was in the courtroom as the decision was announced. He attended the proceedings on Friday with his longtime partner, Dee Devlin, by his side.
After leaving the courthouse, he was surrounded by reporters… yet he remained silent.
In a heartfelt address outside the court, Ni Lamhain thanked her family, friends, and supporters.
