Some true-crime fans are becoming much too aggressive, trespassing into the Menendez brothers’ old home… and Beverly Hills cops are worried about what it may mean for Halloween, TMZ has discovered.

Here’s the deal: owing to a massively successful Netflix series and documentary, people have been flocking to the opulent Beverly Hills property where Lyle and Erik Menendez brutally killed their parents in 1989… the pair subsequently claimed it was in retaliation to the horrible lifetime abuse they received.

According to police, what began as complaints from irritated neighbors about an increase in foot and automobile traffic — which was bothersome but not criminal — has now progressed to outright trespassing… and, in one instance, an apparent break-in captured on TikTok.

Now that Halloween is approaching, authorities are concerned that the situation may worsen, thus conversations are taking place on how to deter any fools looking for a frightening pleasure.

The home is now unoccupied due to renovations, which may have attracted curious visitors. It doesn’t help that several Hollywood tour busses (but not TMZ!) have added the block to their itinerary, dropping large groups of people in the neighborhood.

Police have already increased patrols in the neighborhood to calm down upset homeowners… but we’re told more has to be done as Halloween approaches… maybe even private protection, as urged to property owners.

As TMZ previously reported, Menendez Brothers-inspired costumes have been a hot-ticket item this season, so it’s not unreasonable to believe that someone out there is seeking for a frightening photo on location.

One thing is certain: police and neighbors wish the Monster Mash is hosted elsewhere!
