On Tuesday, October 8, CBS will telecast An Oprah Special: The Presleys – Elvis, Lisa Marie, and Riley. Oprah Winfrey hosts an hour-long special in which she interviews Riley Keough, Elvis’ granddaughter.

Winfrey visits Graceland in Memphis to meet with Keough.

Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla, died in 2023. She had taped hours of anecdotes for a biography called From Here to the Great Unknown, which her daughter, Keough, finished co-writing. The book goes on sale on October 8.

“In this first exclusive interview about the book, Riley shares what the writing process was like and stories and remembrances of her mother,” per CBS. “Also included are never-before-seen family photos and home movies, as well as portions of Lisa Marie’s personal audio recordings, including memories of her father, about whom she begins the book by writing: ‘I thought my father could control the weather. He was a god to me. A chosen human being. Riley, an Emmy-nominated actor and director, speaks up to Oprah about the intense highs, lows, and pressures of being a Presley, as well as her deep, profound relationship with her mother.”

Keough has appeared in Zola and Logan Lucky, as well as the title character in Daisy Jones & The Six, which is available on Prime Video.

Harpo Productions produced the special. The executive producers are Oprah Winfrey and Tara Montgomery.

Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, in 2021 received high ratings for CBS.
