Pat Mahomes Sr., the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes, who is also a former MLB pitcher, pleaded guilty to his third DWI charge in Smith County Court in Texas.

Let’s not pass judgment, but Mr. Mahomes really needs help. His son has a $500 million contract with three rings. He has a lot of grandchildren. So, what’s up?

Anyway, the 54-year-old is facing a third-degree felony accusation.

Get this: he is set to receive five years of probation, with the prospect of up to ten years in prison if he breaches his probation terms.

ICYMI, Mahomes Sr., who was arrested prior to Super Bowl LVIII, has a history of DUI charges. In 2018, he pleaded guilty to a DWI charge and spent 40 days in jail. His criminal history also includes a 2014 charge of possessing an open alcoholic container in a car, which resulted in a fine.

Mahomes Sr., who had a long MLB career, is set to be sentenced on September 23. He also has a pre-trial hearing in October for driving with an invalid license.

Gotta give it to Patty Mahomes Jr. He is one of the best NFL players ever, yet his father is the epitome of a distraction. Hopefully, everyone figures this out.
