According to TMZ, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is not on the radar of New York police after dumping a dead bear in Central Park a decade ago.

According to NYPD sources, no investigation is underway into the independent presidential contender. We also verified with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and RFK Jr. was cleared there as well.

The NYSDEC stated it completed an inquiry into the Central Park bear cub’s death in 2014 and concluded that the bear died from blunt-force trauma consistent with a high-speed accident. Due to a lack of evidence, they concluded the investigation later that year without issuing any citations.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation now has the authority to issue citations for improper bear disposal; violators may face a $250 fine. The thing is, there is a one-year statute of limitations on this violation, thus RFK Jr. is out of trouble.

This comes a day after Kennedy admitted to the entire bear-in-the-park prank, which had locals perplexed for ten years. RFK Jr. repeated the event in an apparent attempt to get ahead of a piece in The New Yorker, which is now available and includes a photo of RFK Jr. holding the deceased cub.

RFK posted a video on X… claiming he was driving during a hunting trip with his falcon when a woman in front of him struck and killed a bear. In the video, he tells the anecdote to actor Roseanne Barr.

He snatched the bear off the road because he didn’t want the meat to go to waste… but he got distracted and never made it home to fridge the animal, so he decided to dump it in Central Park.

According to RFK Jr., there were a lot of pedestrians being hit by bikes in the park at the time, so he and his pals decided it would be humorous to blame the bear’s death on a bike rider.

Of course, no one thought it was humorous, so the NYPD’s Animal Cruelty Investigation Squad arrived in Central Park to investigate. However, the probe stalled, and Kennedy claims no one contacted him until The New Yorker began pulling everything together.
