Lupe Fiasco has stated that he is not feuding with Kendrick Lamar.

During an X Spaces event over the weekend, fans asked the rapper if he still had conflict with Kendrick.

In response, Lupe, real name Wasalu Jaco, insisted that he has no beef with the Not Like Us rapper.

“I’m a Kendrick fan for more than just his music,” he said. “I admire his ingenuity and conceptualisation. And the decisions he makes. I also enjoy his impact on Black culture. I enjoy how he motivates Black people. That’s why I never stated I disliked him.

The singer-songwriter went on to explain, “‘Cause even if I don’t like all his songs or listen to all his songs – and same thing with Drake – I understand their impact into the culture and I would never, ever, ever – because for me it’s us first – ever, ever, disparage.”

In addition, Lupe requested that fans provide evidence of a rift.

“I have no problem with dude. Show me where I have explicitly stated that I dislike him. Show me that. “Then we can move on,” the 42-year-old said.

Lupe also mentioned that he wished he had access to a creative atmosphere like Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), Kendrick’s initial record company.

“One thing I wish I had.” This is me being open and vulnerable, and I’ve always thought, ‘Man, I wish I had that.’ I wish I had the creative space that they built at TDE,” he said.
