Montel Williams has just commented to our story, stressing that he will vote for whoever can beat Donald Trump in November. If Democrats choose Kamala Harris, he appears to be willing to support her.
He also noted that he retweeted Gov. Moore’s own endorsement of Kamala, so it appears that he is endorsing her.
Montel Williams did not endorse Kamala Harris for president when Joe Biden stepped out, despite the fact that they dated, something he prefers not to discuss with the media.
The former talk show host, whose brief romance with the Veep from the early 2000s resurfaced amid reports that she is now the Democratic frontrunner, responded to JB’s exit from stage left with a ringing endorsement of someone who isn’t Kamala.

Instead, Montel threw his support behind Maryland’s governor, Wes Moore, who published his own statement on the bombshell… and while MW did not throw his hat in the ring, he seemed to be in his corner nevertheless.
He wrote, “I’d love to see @iamwesmoore leading the ticket or otherwise on my ballot, and I’m prepared to campaign.” I’ve seen @GovWesMoore lead my home state of Maryland, and I recognize leadership when I see it.
Of course, that’s a ringing endorsement… but even after it was revealed that Biden was supporting his vice president for the job, Montel never mentioned his former flame again… but you can bet people were contacting him about it.

Montel seemed to anticipate that he’d be bombarded with media inquiries about his time with Kamala — and he went ahead of it by warning reporters not to ask him about it… otherwise, his press staff will destroy ’em.
He made his stance clear by saying, “I’ve said what I’m going to say about the thing that keeps trending.” My pals in the media should think twice about wasting time on a 20-year-old photo; you will get an unpleasant reaction.”
Montel’s public relations representative shared a screenshot of a conversation he had with a journalist who had already contacted him about this, calling their question “utterly inappropriate,” and it appears that anyone else who does this may have their interactions made public.
As previously stated, Montel and Kamala were an item back in the day, which MW has already addressed as being old history and not a huge deal. Granted, given that Clinton is the overwhelming frontrunner to win the Democratic nomination, this will be scrutinized even more closely.
