Drake’s spat with Kendrick Lamar appears to have subsided.

However, that doesn’t mean he’s ready to pass up an opportunity to criticize the Compton-born rapper. Earlier this week, the official OVO Instagram account posted a series of photographs promoting various casual women’s apparel options. One of the pieces was a plain white tank top, also known as a “wife beater.” The model wearing the outfit has a striking similarity to Kendrick’s fiancée, Whitney Alford. She even wore a similar shirt in the music video for “Not Like Us”.

Throughout their lyrical war, Drake repeatedly accused Kendrick Lamar of domestic violence against Alford. Of course, fans believe the ad was purposeful, a clever method of criticizing the “Euphoria” artist without saying anything. This is unconfirmed, but the model’s likeness to Alford is apparent, raising the question of whether it may have been a coincidence.

While some fans find the apparent dig clever, others criticize him for failing to explicitly address Kendrick’s recent movements. Drake has been fairly silent in recent weeks, with only a few features and ambiguous social media statements, despite Kendrick’s Pop Out in LA, new music video, and other developments. He’s also paid a high price for it, with K-Dot followers ripping him to shreds almost every time he writes.

Fortunately for Kendrick, it appears that not everyone is on his side, since Drake was recently named the most-streamed rapper of June on Spotify. It was the sixth consecutive month for the Toronto hitmaker, proving that his devoted fan base remains strong.
