When an actor’s career unexpectedly takes off, it might have an impact on the projects to which they are already committed.

Everyone behind Euphoria will be happy for the show’s stars, whose careers have taken off.

But if you ask Sam Levinson if it would have been easier to get a third season to the screen if Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Zendaya’s careers hadn’t exploded, he’d lie and say no.

This was also true throughout Jenna Ortega’s career.

While Ortega has been working steadily for some years, her career skyrocketed following the release of Netflix’s Wednesday.

This produced a number of secondary consequences. For example, because to her rigorous schedule, she was recast in the television series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.

The other aspect is that it had a huge impact on Winter Spring Summer or Fall, a future love drama in which she would star.

She will star opposite her Wednesday co-star, Percy Hynes White, in the winter, spring, summer, and fall.

In the film, Ortega plays Remi Aguilar, a ‘ambitious genius with a bright future’ who falls in love with Barnes Hawthorne, a’music-loving rebel’.

It takes place over one day per season to depict their love journey.

Despite co-starring in the film, Hynes White will not return for Wednesday’s second season. So yet, there has been no confirmation that this is related to sexual assault charges made against him on Twitter.

Hynes White denies the allegations, and at the time of writing, no formal charges had been filed against him.

Tiffany Paulsen, the director, told The Hollywood Reporter that Wednesday’s explosion was ‘wild’.

Paulsen, who also authored the film, stated that Ortega was their ‘first option’ and described the casting as a ‘dream’.

She went on to explain, “Then there was the lengthy process of writing the script, submitting it to studios, and attempting to secure financing – that takes time.

“By the time we got around to shooting this film, Wednesday had already passed and Netflix was preparing to release it.

“So we had this ridiculous scheduling problem where, in order for Jenna to be able to do the film, we had to begin shooting on Halloween day in October 2022.

“Then we had to shut production down for three weeks so that both her and Percy could go and do all of this Wednesday press.”

Paulsen described post-Wednesday filming as ‘pandemonium’, saying: “It was fans and craziness, and we were in the middle of nowhere in Utah, and they were figuring out where we were shooting.

“It was very exciting, but a very different finish from where we started the movie.”
