Metro Boomin has disclosed fresh intentions to support his neighborhood.

The well-known producer has disclosed giving $100,000 to St. Louis-based nonprofits that support women. The 30-year-old started the project in memory of his late mother, Leslie Wayne, according to Variety. Wayne was slain in June 2023 by her partner, who also committed suicide during the tragic event.

“I have personal experience with the amount of work that a single mother must do. My hero and inspiration was mine, the Grammy-nominated performer said in a statement. “I see the same tenacity and dedication in the women these organizations work with, so it’s very important to me to pay it forward.”

The outlet claims that Metro Boomin delivered $20,000 individual checks to Almost Home, Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation, the Haven of Grace, the Little Bit Foundation, and Parents as Teachers in collaboration with Rung for Women and Amazon Access.

The money was generated for women’s relief efforts, such as debt reduction and paying for necessities like rent, daycare, and utilities, at the Leslie Joanne SoirΓ©e holiday event, which was hosted at Rung in collaboration with Amazon Access in December.

According to Leslie Gill, president of Rung, “we are thrilled to collaborate with Metro Boomin in his work to uplift single mothers in St. Louis.” “He is exhibiting a commitment to women and our community, motivated by the extraordinary love he had for his late mother.”

Additionally, Metro Boomin plans to open his own nonprofit soon.
