The tech battle has been renewed after Mark Zuckerberg expressed his thoughts on the Apple Vision Pro.
It’s reasonable to presume that the Meta CEO isn’t a huge admirer of Apple.
It makes sense; the businesses are frequently vying for dominance in the tech market, and Zuckerberg has previously described Apple as one of Facebook’s main adversaries.

In a wonderfully arrogant move, Zuckerberg did his own review of Apple’s most recent device, the Apple Vision Pro.
Apple has stated that it intends to blur the lines between the real and virtual worlds (yikes) with a wearable display that allows users to view numerous screens in augmented reality.

Many critics have suggested that this is proof that the ‘end is near’ and that we are on the verge of a dystopian reality similar to that depicted in the television series Black Mirror.
However, Apple was late to the party, introducing a product with characteristics comparable to one that was already on the market.
In fact, in a video posted on his Instagram page on February 13, Zuckerberg said that a cheaper and ‘better product’ already exists.
In an unsurprising move, Zuckerberg pushed his company’s own product, the Meta Quest 3, which was revealed in June of last year.

I wonder if Zuckerberg’s assessment is a little slanted because, you know, he owns everything Meta makes.
In the video, which has been viewed over 150,000 times, he stated: “The different companies made different design decisions for the headsets, they have different strengths, but overall Quest is better for the vast majority of things that people use mixed reality for.”
“My friend Kenny is currently capturing this video on Quest’s high resolution mixed reality passthrough. We are just in my living room, and you can see his browser windows and whatever else he has running up here.
“Quest 3 does high quality pass through with big screens just like Vision Pro but we also designed it for a lot of other things.”
After testing the Apple Vision Pro, Zuckerberg claimed that his device is superior for moving around, playing games, socializing, and working out.
While much of the video was critical of Apple, he did point out that the device had some useful features – some of which were superior to the Quest 3, such as a higher resolution screen.
However, Zuckerberg ultimately concluded that his invention is seven times cheaper – costing just under $500 compared to Apple’s $3,500 device – has no connections, is 120g lighter, has a broader field of view, and appears to have a brighter screen.
