The historical drama Oppenheimer leads the field with 13 nominations for the 2024 Oscars, which have been announced.
Killers of the Flower Moon, directed by Martin Scorsese, scored 10, and Poor Things came in second with 11. With this most recent honor, Scorsese ties the record for most living film director nominations.
Star of American Fiction Jeffrey Wright received a nomination for Best Actor, and co-star Sterling K. Brown is a candidate for Best Supporting Actor. Wright’s opponents include Colman Domingo (Rustin), Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer), Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers), and Bradley Cooper (Maestro), who also had an appearance in the 2023 musical The Color Purple.

Speaking of which, some fans were upset that Taraji P. Henson and Fantasia were left off the list despite Danielle Brooks’ remarkable performance as Sophia, which won the former Orange Is The New Black star a nod for Supporting Actress.
