Chappelle performed at DeRay Davis’ MonDERAYS at the Hollywood Improv on Friday (June 19). He targeted Katt’s Club Shay Shay interview, criticizing him for simply going on his own. He made analogies to white comedians and questioned why he had to make Black performers appear awful.

“What part of the game is this?” He only ethered Ni**as. He said nothing about any of the white boys. “None of these white boys operate like that,” The Dreamer entertainer stated. “Katt is one of the top painters in the game. So, why are you creating such horrible pictures of us? Stop. Hurt people hurt people, but I am a hurt person who never hurts others, but he does all the time.

“If I told my story, it would break your heart,” the man added. “I lost everything and never told anybody, and this nia is the arbiter of truth. Katt, listen, I fk with Katt hard, but DeRay, tell me, what portion of the game messes up another nia’s paper? What part of the game involves informing on another nia?”
