According to Jada Pinkett Smith, her marriage was spared by Will Smith’s Oscar smack. Pinkett Smith stated in an interview with Daily Mail that she knew she would “never leave him” because of Will’s conduct.

“You realize who you really are when the shit hits the fan,” Jada remarked. It took that smack for me to realize that I would never leave Will, after all those years of trying to decide whether or not to leave his side. If it hadn’t happened, who knows where our relationship would be now?

She disclosed that the slap has now earned her the moniker “holy slap.”

On her daytime talk show, Pinkett Smith declared, “We’re staying together forever,” in an interview with Drew Barrymore.

“I believe that one of those subsequent phases in a relationship is when you truly learn how to accept both yourself and your partner fully,” Jada stated, as reported by Decider. “It was a journey unto itself,”
