Ludacris claims that J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar motivate him to keep rapping. The legend was questioned by Rolling Stone about the up-and-coming musicians he has influenced.

Luda cited “progressiveness” and “hunger” as the reasons for ranking K. Dot and Cole in his top two.

“J. Cole is my favorite. I adore Kendrick Lamar, without a doubt,” he said. “Those are only a handful of them. I would say those are my top two. I adore taking in their music. I adore Kendrick’s progressive nature, and Cole is just… The hunger is the cause. That’s what I need to keep me motivated to keep going. People find him appealing. And I have conveyed this to these two people. It only consists of love.

The rapper from Red Light District also mentioned his next project and reiterated that he will release new songs in 2024 in other parts of the interview. Luda also talked about his artistic development since his previous performance. “We’re just getting started, but music will undoubtedly be released in 2024.
