The star of Supernatural, Mark Sheppard, has disclosed how he was revived following six “massive” heart attacks last week.

After his near-death encounter on Friday, December 1, the actor—who has previously starred in films including Megalodon and In the Name of the Father—thanked his wife Sarah Louise Fudge for saving his life.

The 59-year-old claimed to have experienced a “widowmaker,” one of the deadliest cardiac arrests caused by a total blockage of the major coronary artery (the LAD).

The horrific ordeal began when Sheppard passed out in his Los Angeles kitchen and required four resuscitations.

The actor notified his followers on Instagram by sharing a picture of himself with multiple cardiac monitors strapped to his chest while he was laying in a hospital bed at Providence St. Joseph in California.

On Saturday, December 2, Sheppard wrote to his 1.7 million followers, saying, “You’re not going to believe this! Yesterday, I fell asleep in my kitchen while en route to an appointment.

“It appears that I had a complete blockage in my left anterior descending artery (LAD) following six severe heart attacks and four instances of being revived. The Widowmaker.

“I wouldn’t be writing this if it weren’t for my wife, the amazing personnel at Providence California St. Joseph’s, the @losangelesfiredepartment at Mullholland, and myself.

“I had almost no chance of surviving. Feel fantastic now. Again I was humbled. Going home tomorrow! #spnfamily.

Following his recent health crisis, several of Sheppard’s co-stars have flocked to the post’s comment section to wish the actor well.

Co-star Misha Collins praised the actor’s amazing comeback, calling it “incredible,” saying: “Mark! It’s not necessary to always give your best and biggest effort! Six coronary heart attacks? A couple of these would have sufficed as impressive. Okay, we’re impressed. Now give up on this healing and rejoin us on the trip. I adore you, friend.”

Meanwhile, a different admirer stated: “OMG mark It’s terrible, but I’m so glad you’re getting better! I’m sending you and your family my deepest love.”

“Jesus Christ… oh man Sheppard, that’s way too close man,” exclaimed a third. I’m hoping for a speedy recovery and return to normalcy. Be kind to yourself, my brother.”

Sheppard wed Fudge in August 2015, and the couple later celebrated their marriage in a Malibu, California wedding in November 2016.

Isabella Rose, now seven years old, was introduced into the world in March of that year and has been a constant feature on the couple’s Instagram pages as they share their daily adventures.
