With more than 2.4 million followers on TikTok, Elton’s impact on music and its fan base is evident. Fun augmented reality filters enable users to mimic some of his most iconic appearances.

The lime green Hollywood Walk of Fame costume from the 1970s, the sequined Dodgers cap, the shimmering sequins from the “Rocket Man” era, and the gold-rimmed glasses from his Farewell Tour are just a few of the outrageous stage looks that the TikTok community may imitate thanks to these filters. Elton used TikTok to promote the release of the filters, walking viewers through each one in a video that has received over 32,000 likes.

As he wrapped up his video, Elton declared, “Everything that glitters is gold.” “I hope you have fun, and I can’t wait to see you decked up like Rocket Man.”

The iconic artist exclusively released a teaser for his joint song “Hold Me Closer” with Britney Spears on TikTok last year.
