Suzanne Somers, Star Of Three's Company, Has Died At The Age Of 76

Suzanne Somers, the star of Three’s Company, died at the age of 76.

The performer, author, and fitness instructor died one day before her 77th birthday, with her family gathered to celebrate.

In a statement, her spokesperson confirmed the terrible news.

Somers’ career began in the 1960s, when he landed modest roles in sitcoms such as One Day at a Time and The Love Boat.

She received a role in the sitcom that launched her career, Three’s Company, in 1977.

The sitcom revolved around three roommates, two women and one man, with frequent mayhem.

Somers played Chrissy Snow on the classic ABC drama for five seasons.

After leaving comedy behind, she had a brief time performing in Las Vegas before returning to television in the 1990s.

This time, she played Carol Foster Lambert in Step by Step, a quirky comedy about two families.

Somer later hosted Candid Camera and her own talk show, The Suzanne Show, before going on Dancing with the Stars.

She also established a fitness empire, appearing in ads for ThighMaster and ButtMaster and authoring several health-related publications.

Somers, on the other hand, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in her fifties.

After being in remission, the actor-turned-author stated earlier this year that it had returned.

Tragically, she died on October 15, only one day before her 77th birthday.

R. Couri Hay, her publicist, told Page Six: “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th.”

“She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years,” it added.

“Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.”

He went on to say that her family had assembled for the occasion, with plans to throw a party for the celebrity.

“Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly,” said Hay. She went on to say: “A private family burial will take place this week, with a memorial to follow next month.”
