With the release of For All The Dogs, Drake appears to be getting ready to scale back on his creative output.

Since 2021, the Canadian rapper has put out four albums in less over two years, demonstrating his prolific output. We may assume that Drake needs some time to relax, especially considering that he has been on tour all summer. Drake disclosed that he will be taking a break from music in a recent Table For One episode.

Drizzy disclosed that for the previous few years, he has experienced various health problems. “I’ll be honest with you, I probably won’t be making music for a while. Above all, I need to take care of my health,” he declared. He clarified that he needed to pay attention to his stomach problems. “I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little while because I need to get right and I have a lot of other things I would love to focus on,” he continued. “I have no idea what a tiny bit is. Perhaps a year or so. Perhaps a little longer.

It appears that Drake has been considering a long-term hiatus from music. The rapper said that he has considered a “graceful exit” when he sat down with Lil Yachty earlier this year. “Well, I think that on a bigger picture, I think that right now I just want to, you know, maybe we talked about this the other day, but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the idea of a graceful exit in my mind,” he said.

He went on to say that while he would still occasionally show up and perform, he wouldn’t push himself to compete. The last time he performed in Miami, he made fun of his admirers by teasing them and saying that he was “just playin'” before announcing that he would be leaving the music industry. In any case, it appears that Drake needs to temporarily refocus, and we can’t hold that against him.
