Nicki Minaj has made numerous headlines over the years as a result of her marriage to Kenneth Petty.
Petty is a convicted sex offender arising from an alleged attempted rape in 1995, for those who are unaware. Overall, this lawsuit has caused a slew of problems for Petty. Furthermore, it has spawned a slew of social media jokes. What matters is that Petty was obliged to register as a sex offender when he moved to California. He ultimately chose not to do so and was sentenced to three years probation and one year under home arrest.

This decision was made almost a year ago, so if your calculation is correct, Petty would have been released from house arrest. However, he entirely jeopardized his freedom after making threats against Offset. He was outdoors with several buddies, claiming to be looking for the rapper, as we previously reported. According to court reporter Meghann Cuniff, a judge later sentenced Petty to 120 days in jail for his acts.

“Mr. Petty was recorded on video making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record,” according to the court order. “This recent violation conduct casts doubt on Mr. Petty’s willingness to obey the Court’s orders.” As a result, the Probation Officer believes that enrolling Mr. Petty in the Location Monitoring Program will enable closer monitoring of his activities, limit his movements, provide a sanction for his noncompliance, and hopefully encourage him to reflect on and reevaluate his current status in the community.”
Offset has arguably reached the pinnacle of having the last laugh on someone. Furthermore, this is an example of shooting oneself in the foot in the most public manner possible.
