Russell Brand has been removed from an Australian health event following allegations of sexual assault.

The British comedian was due to headline the health and wellness event, which would take place in February 2024 in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. However, he and the festival’s organizers mutually agreed to cancel his attendance after he was accused of rape and sexual assault throughout the weekend.

“Due to the circumstances that have recently come to light, Wanderlust and Russell Brand have agreed that Mr Brand will not be appearing at the Wanderlust Festival,” said Charlotte Hill, chief executive officer of Wanderlust.

In a collaborative investigation by The Times, The Sunday Times, and Channel 4’s Dispatches, Brand was accused of rape and sexual assault by four women between 2006 and 2013. On Sunday, the Metropolitan Police received a report of an alleged attack against Brand going back to 2013.

Following the news, the rest of his UK tour dates were canceled, YouTube stopped monetizing his video channels, and his book agreement with Pan Macmillan’s subsidiary Bluebird was canceled.

Furthermore, numerous Brand TV programs have been taken from Channel 4 and the BBC’s on-demand services, and his 2009 comedy special has been removed from Paramount+.
