Lana Del Rey has described what happened in film that appeared to show her working at an Alabama Waffle House. It was one of the most popular moments of the summer.

The Grammy Award winner made an interesting job change earlier this year, when the ‘Blue Velvet’ singer was seen at the fast-food company.

While she had previously kept quiet, the musician has now disclosed what transpired. You may hear her serenade a customer in the video below:

Del Rey’s love of Americana is well known among her fans, since she frequently references American businesses in her music and videos.

While you could be excused for thinking this was the reason for her July visit to Waffle House, it turns out the singer has family roots in Florence, where the restaurant was.

After making friends with several of the waiters, the singer went behind the counter and even dressed up in a uniform to pass the time while visiting her birthplace.

She was filmed while wearing a blue uniform and a hurriedly manufactured name tag, serving coffee and singing ‘Amazing Grace’ with some of the residents.

She described one of the customers to The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “This guy, a regular, comes in every day and orders two things, so they were like, ‘Just go get it for him!'” I gave him a Coke. No ice. And an empty cup….for dipping.”

The ballad’s creator, though, claims she was unprepared for how viral the moment would be, telling THR: “I didn’t see anyone take a video of me.”

But it’s not the only reason Del Rey went viral this summer.

In May, she misplaced her vapes on stage, creating an unforgettable moment.

Though we don’t recommend the terrible habit, the viral moment during her headline show at the MITA music festival was rather hilarious to see.

“And also, if you see my vape onstage, can you find my vape?” she asked, putting on a Southern Belle accent.

Fans were quick to spot the e-cigarette, with the ‘Born to Die’ performer pulling the mic out of the stand as she scampers over to get it.

Unfortunately, the e-cigarette had sunk to the bottom of the pit, prompting Del Rey to respond in a fairly foul-mouthed manner.

“F**k it,” she said, walking to the rear of the stage and continuing her performance.

Lana, never change!
