Stability AI, an open generative AI business, has announced the release of Stable Audio, the company’s first AI product for music and sound synthesis. Stable Audio, a first-of-its-kind solution that employs cutting-edge generative AI algorithms, seeks to deliver faster, higher-quality music synthesis via an intuitive web interface.

Stability AI provides a free basic version of Stable Audio that may be used to generate and download tracks of up to 20 seconds, as well as a ‘Pro’ subscription that provides 90-second tracks that can be downloaded for commercial projects.

Stable Audio’s ease of use intends to provide endless chances for producers, making it ideal for musicians looking to make samples to utilize in their own music. Music tracks are generated in response to descriptive language prompts provided by the user, as well as a composition length preference.

Stable Audio is the outcome of a collaboration between the firms focused on providing economic and creative value for all parties. It uses an underlying model trained with music and metadata from renowned music library AudioSparx. To construct their tune, users can insert adjectives such as Post-Rock, Guitars, Drum Kit, Bass, Strings, Euphoric, Uplifting, Moody, Flowing, Epic, Sentimental, and 125 BPM into Stable Audio.

Stable Audio is the first music generation platform that uses latent diffusion to create high-quality, 44.1 kHz music for commercial use. The latent diffusion architecture employs audio that has been conditioned by text metadata, audio file duration, and start time, allowing for greater control over the outcome and length of the created music.
