Bruce Springsteen’s ongoing tour with the E Street Band has been complicated by a regrettable setback.

Recent health concerns have necessitated the postponement of eight concerts scheduled for later this month.

What is the health issue that has caused him to withdraw from the stage? These are symptoms of peptic ulcer disease. According to reports, Springsteen’s medical staff has recommended postponing the rest of his September concerts.

The world was informed of these postponements via an announcement on his official website. In a heartfelt message, Springsteen expressed his regret, particularly addressing his faithful supporters in Philadelphia. As he has already canceled a performance in the city, he singled them out specifically.

“First, apologies to our fabulous Philadelphia fans whom we missed a few weeks ago,” Springsteen began. He continued, “We will return to pick up these shows and more.”

Springsteen assured ticket-holding fans, “We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows, and we’re looking forward to more great times,” and “We’ll be back soon.” During this temporary pause, he also made sure to say, “Thank you for your understanding and support.”

This is not the first time Springsteen and his musicians have been forced to adjust his tour schedule due to health concerns. In August, he postponed two Philadelphia concerts due to an unknown illness. Earlier this year, he postponed a number of performances in cities such as Columbus, Ohio, and Albany, New York.

In February of 2023, Springsteen and the E Street Band began their tour in Tampa, Florida. Since then, the rock musician and his backing group performed dozens of concerts across the United States (in two legs, no less), as well as Canada and much of Europe. This tour, simply titled The Springsteen and E Street Band 2023 Tour, represents the first time in over five years that the Grammy and Oscar winner has toured with the E Street Band.
