Megan Thee Stallion made sure that her opinions were heard in court even though she was unable to attend Tory Lanez’s sentencing.

Rapper from Canada was given a 10-year prison term for last week’s shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Iggy Azalea wrote one of the 76 letters of recommendation the judge received on Tory’s behalf prior to his sentencing, pleading for a fair sentence that wouldn’t entirely ruin the Canadian rapper’s life. Then there was Megan’s letter, which stated that “his crime warrants the full weight of the law.”

Megan Thee Stallion provided the complete statement to reporter Meghann Cuniff. She hasn’t “experienced a single day of peace” since being shot, according to the Houston artist. He attempted to portray himself as a victim while attempting to demolish my soul and character, she said.

In her subsequent explanation, Megan Thee Stallion stated that Tory Lanez “lied to anyone that would listen and paid bloggers to disseminate false information about the case on social media.” She also mentioned Tory’s use of music videos and songs to “damage my character and continue his crusade.” Only those who take ownership of their mistakes are eligible for mercy. She described Tory Lanez’s “tantrum of lies,” adding that ever since his arrest in 2020, he has continued to blame others but not himself. “Today, I humbly ask this court to send a strong message to all victims of domestic abuse by holding the defendant fully responsible for his criminal actions. This is a message to all survivors that their lives matter and that torture in the context of violence will not be tolerated, she said. “The full force of the law should be applied to his crime. Your honor, I thank you,” she said in closing. Read the full victim statement from Megan Thee Stallion up top.
