Octavia Spencer's 'Heart Is Torn' For Sandra Bullock Following Partner's Death

Following the passing of Sandra Bullock’s longtime partner Bryan Randall, Octavia Spencer is inconsolable mourning her close friend Sandra Bullock.

Bryan’s family revealed on Monday that he had died on August 5 following a three-year struggle with the neurodegenerative disease ALS, commonly known as motor neurone disease, in private. He was 57.

My heart is shattered for Sandy and Bryan, wrote Sandra’s friend and co-star Octavia on Instagram on Tuesday in response to the awful news. The world lost a gifted, attractive, and all-around decent guy, and Sandy lost her true mate! My thoughts and prayers are with their families.

Octavia and Sandra have been friends since the 1990s, when they starred together in the 1996 legal thriller A Time to Kill. Octavia was likely referring to her late mother Dellsena. In 2005’s Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, they appeared together again on screen.

When Bryan took pictures of the Speed star’s son Louis’ birthday in January 2015, they first met. Later that year, they made their relationship public.

Louis, 13, and Laila, 11, are adopted children of Sandra, 59. Skylar was the name of Bryan’s adult daughter from a previous union.
