Jamie Foxx Attributes His Survival To His Sister

Following a recent health scare, Jamie Foxx praised his sister with saving his life.

On Tuesday, the Django Unchained star, 55, took to Instagram to wish his sister, Deidra Dixon, a happy birthday and to compliment her for being “courageous.”

“Happy birthday to my beautiful sister @frequency11 ‘D’… you are magical, beautiful, and courageous lionesses #leoseason.” And I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you,” the actor explained. “If you hadn’t made the judgments you did, I would have died…. I’ll adore you forever and ever, sis. #swipeleft.”

A snapshot of the couple embracing was featured in the image carousel, as were other selfies of Deidra.

In April, the Oscar winner was hospitalized owing to a claimed medical problem. On July 22, he shared an Instagram video thanking fans for their support and updating them on his recuperation.

“I went through something I never thought I’d go through.” “I know a lot of people were waiting and, you know, wanting to hear updates, but to be honest, I just didn’t want you to see me like that man,” the Baby Driver star said in the video.

“I went to hell and back,” he continued, “and my road to recovery was not without potholes.” But I’ll be back. And I have the ability to work.”

The cause of Jamie’s medical difficulty has yet to be revealed, while online rumors claiming the actor was paralyzed or blind have since been disproved.
