JAY-Z has always been interested in sports. Hov is currently looking to buy a major soccer franchise.
According to Football365, JAY-Z is interested in buying Tottenham Hotspur from British millionaire Joe Lewis, who is now facing 16 counts of securities fraud and three counts of conspiracy. Lewis was charged with insider trading on Wednesday in Manhattan Federal Court.

Lewis was released on a $300 million bond, with a boat and private plane as collateral. He is now required to remain in the United States.
Enter Hov, who will try to buy the soccer team if Lewis is condemned. According to reports, Hov is “preparing an audacious bid” to purchase the squad. Hov would be joined by a “group of American investors” capable of acquiring the Premier League club.

“More than a few of the very top clubs there – like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea – are now under US ownership, and Jay would jump at the chance of a controlling interest at board level somewhere with the global reach of Spurs,” according to a person close to Hov.
