June Shannon has offered an update on the health of her daughter, Anna.

On July 12, the long-time reality personality was asked about the condition of her 28-year-old child, Chickadee, who goes by the moniker Chickadee.

Anna was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in March, for those who are unaware.

She has adrenal carcinoma, which is “a rare disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the outer layer of the adrenal gland,” according to the National Cancer Institute.

Mama June has previously stated that Anna will die as a result of this terrible condition, which she reiterated this week when speaking with ET.

Shannon told the newspaper, “She’s not going into remission.”

“We’ve all accepted that, so I just tell people to take things one day at a time, ’cause you never know.”

Shannon went on to say that Anna has handled the diagnosis “pretty well,” noting that her oldest daughter “can still go to the grocery store, she can drive herself, she can still take the kids to and from places.”

Shannon has been on a “emotional rollercoaster,” as you might anticipate, in the aftermath of this diagnosis, she told ET.

Shannon, who is also the mother of Jessica, 26, Lauryn, 23, and Alana, 17, has been alienated from her family for years.

But she claims to be sober now and working hard to make up for lost time.

“Please pray for all of us, especially her daughters.” “Thank you so much,” June posted on Facebook this spring.

Cardwell was diagnosed with stage IV adrenal cancer in January after experiencing severe stomach problems, according to news released on March 30.

“This is what I mean when I say that you never really know what someone is going through at home.” “No matter how famous they are,” Alana remarked at the time on her Instagram Story.

“I’m famous, but normal s—t happens to me and my family, and y’all need to realize that as soon as possible.”

Anna has had four rounds of chemotherapy thus far.

She is undecided about continuing treatment.

“It’s crazy to think she won’t be here in five years, but I’m hoping she can pull through and fight for 10, 20, years,” Shannon told ET.

Anna has provided fans with periodic updates on her cancer journey via social media. For instance?

She wrote on May 10th:

“I’m now on round 3 of chemo.”

“This [was] yesterday; it was a pretty good day, but we did get a little, and Cracker Barrel was good going down but not up, but overall [sic] it’s going well, and chemo is working, so things are looking up.”

She celebrated her daughter Kaitlyn’s elementary school graduation on Facebook two weeks later.

“I am one proud mama right now,” she said.

“I also can’t believe a middle schooler and a second grader are going to give me a minute to cry my eyes out.” “I am so proud of my daughters and all they have accomplished.”
