Jamie Foxx appears to be doing well after his unexplained “medical complication” in April.

In a video acquired by TMZ, the “Day Shift” actor can be seen smiling and making the peace sign as he cruises along the Chicago River in a boat on Sunday.

For the weekend outing, the “Ray” star, 55, wore an all-black ensemble with aviator sunglasses. At least two additional passengers were with him.

It was Foxx’s first public appearance after being released from the hospital.

He has yet to address the health scare publicly.

Foxx was hospitalized in Georgia on April 12, according to his oldest daughter Corinne, who posted about it on social media.

“We wanted to let you know that my father, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday.” “Fortunately, he is already on his way to recovery thanks to quick action and excellent care,” she wrote at the time.

Corinne is Foxx’s daughter with his ex-wife Connie Kline. He also has a 14-year-old daughter with his ex-wife, Annalise Bishop.

According to TMZ, the actor’s stated illness was “serious enough” that his family traveled to be by his side at the time.

He had been filming the Netflix feature “Back in Action” starring Cameron Diaz prior to the medical issue.

Diaz continued to film other scenes using Foxx’s body double while he was in the hospital. It is uncertain when the “Just Mercy” star will return to the set.

According to a family member, the secrecy surrounding his ailment has generated concerns about how his career may be damaged in the future.

“Back in Action’s” future is similarly uncertain.
