Leandro sadly died after a heroin overdose, according to Robert De Niro’s daughter Drena.

In response to a reader inquiring as to how Leandro passed away, Drena, 51, claimed on Instagram that “someone sold him fentanyl-laced pills that they knew were laced yet still sold them to him.”

“For all these people still fking around selling and buying this st, my son is gone forever,” she continued.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, fentanyl has many times the potency of heroin and is up to 100 times more strong than morphine.

This week, the mother posted a note to Instagram informing her followers that her 19-year-old son had passed away.

‘My lovely, precious angel. Since the first time I felt you inside of me, I have loved you more than words can express,” she wrote.

“You have been all that was ever true, pure, and joyous in my life. Right now, I wish I was with you. I want to be here with you.

“I don’t know how to live without you, but I’ll make an effort to carry on and share the love and brightness that becoming your mother has made me feel. I wish that the love and admiration I had for you had been enough to save you.
