“Black, White & Blue,” a police brutality drama directed by Tyler Perry, will be released via Amazon.

It’s the first feature of the filmmaker’s four-picture pact with Amazon Studios, which was signed in November. Perry will also write and produce “Black, White & Blue,” which stars Kat Graham (“The Vampire Diaries”), Tyler Lepley (“Harlem”), Meagan Tandy (“Batwoman”), Josh Adeyeye (“Ruthless”), RonReaco Lee (“First Wives Club”), Jimi Stanton (“Your Honor”), Shannon LaNier (“God’s Not Dead 3”), and Nick Barrotta (“The Oval”).

The plot revolves around Fela Blackburn (Tandy), a lady whose life is turned upside down after she loses her husband, Rodney Blackburn (Adeyeye), at the hands of a police officer.

“Determined to get to the bottom of the incident and seek justice, she leans on her best friend, lawyer Marley Wells (Graham), and her husband, former cop turned private investigator Tony Wells (Lepley), to use their influence to find the truth.” But when the truth emerges, Fela realizes that her entire life is based on deception and betrayal.”

Tyler Perry Studios execs Angi Bones and Will Areu will join Jamall Ellzy as producers.

Perry’s agreement with Amazon does not imply that he will just work with the streaming service. He’s also working on “Six Triple Eight,” a WWII drama starring Kerry Washington and Oprah Winfrey, as well as the Kelly Rowland-led thriller “Mea Culpa” for Netflix.

Netflix released Perry’s most recent films, “A Jazzman’s Blues,” “A Madea Homecoming,” and “A Fall from Grace.” He also created the “Madea” franchise, which has generated over $550 million at the movie office with 11 films about a tough-talking, gun-toting grandma.
