Taylor Swift’s concert on Sunday had an unexpected guest: an insect she accidentally swallowed.

Swifties in attendance at her Soldier Field performance stop in Chicago on Sunday were stunned by the ‘Karma’ hitmaker’s surprise confession.

During the event, the 33-year-old pop diva unexpectedly turned away from the audience and began coughing.

As the audience wondered what was going on, the ‘Shake It Off’ singer regained her calm and revealed, “I swallowed a bug.” I’m very sorry.”

Taylor turned around and caressed her neck again, and the audience chuckled. “Oh, delicious,” she exclaimed. “Is there any chance no one saw that?” she joked to her thousands of followers.

“It’s fine,” the 12-time Grammy winner murmured before admitting, “I’ve swallowed it.”

“So, I’m just going to try not to do as many of those,” the Pennsylvania native stated. This will happen again tonight. There are numerous bugs. They number in the thousands.”

During the Evermore portion of her greatest hits Eras Tour, she made an unexpected insect appearance in between songs.

She was set to perform ‘Tolerate It,’ a song from her surprise ninth studio album, which will be released in December 2020.

Swift’s three-night residency in Chicago ended on Sunday, and it appears the bug did not want Swift to leave.

The singer will continue her record-breaking tour on June 10 in Detroit, Michigan, where she will perform at Ford Stadium for two nights in a row.

What the cheeky bug in Chicago probably didn’t realize was that it had the opportunity to’meet’ the second richest self-made woman in music.

According to Forbes’ 2023 list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, Swift has a net worth of $740 million, putting her ahead of music giants like Madonna and Beyoncé.

The ‘Vogue’ musician and Renaissance titan, on the other hand, aren’t doing too badly for themselves, with net worths of $580 million and $450 million, respectively.

Swift’s Eras Tour has made headlines for a variety of shenanigans from both fans and tour crew, including a dad who was caught googling how long the three-hour show lasts and a security guard who was filmed having the time of his life singing along to “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

In the same vein, Swift’s rumored lover, Matty Healy, kissed a security guard while performing with his band, The 1975, at the 2023 NorthSide Festival.
