Sam Smith’s vocal cords are “healing” after three shows were canceled.

The Unholy singer, who uses they/them pronouns, canceled their gig in Manchester, England in late May after only four songs because “something was wrong” with their voice. They later stated that they would have to cancel the final two gigs of their UK tour in order to rest their vocal chords.

In an Instagram video posted on Saturday, the British singer informed followers that they had returned from a doctor’s appointment concerning their vocal chords.

“It’s actually quite good news. My vocal cords are healing, and after a week of rest, things are looking up. “It looks like I’ll be fine for the rest of the shows, which is really amazing news,” they stated, thanking followers for their “beautiful messages of love and healing.”
