Disney is working on a third Hocus Pocus picture.

Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, confirmed to The New York Times in an interview published on Sunday that the studio was currently working on Hocus Pocus 3.

Hocus Pocus 2 premiered on Disney+ in September of last year, starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker as their characters from the 1993 original, Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson.

The trio was revived from the grave in the sequel by a group of pals played by Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, and Belissa Escobedo.

Bailey made no mention of the plot, casting, or production specifics for the planned third picture.

Midler told Entertainment Weekly in September that she would be interested in reprising her role as Winifred for a third time.

“I’d love to have a franchise – especially one with a character I enjoy playing,” she remarked. “Of course, if there was a third one, I’d sign up, but I’m not sure how.” I have no idea what the tale would be, but I adore Winifred, Sarah, Mary, and our friendship. It’s beneficial to ladies. We stick together through thick and thin, but we do cause mayhem, and not many women do that!”
