Over Memorial Day Weekend, Michael J. Fox Shared Adorable Photos With All Four Of His Children

Michael J. Fox is having a wonderful time with his family.

On Sunday, the 61-year-old Back to the Future star shared an Instagram story of his family celebrating the holiday weekend together.

In one photo, Fox was seated at a lakeside restaurant while his four children posed next to him with their arms around each other. In another shot, Fox grinned in front of a waterfall with her son Sam, 34, and daughter Schuyler, 28.

The actor and his wife of nearly 30 years, Tracy Pollan, have four children: Esmé, 21, Aquinnah and Schuyler, 28, and Sam.

On Tuesday, Fox marked his son Sam’s 34th birthday with an Instagram tribute that included additional photos from the weekend.

“Happy Birthday to my big bouncing baby boy @palekidd, you’re the best.” I’m honored to be your papa. “I adore you!” he wrote in the caption.

The actor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991 and made his illness public seven years later. The actor told Good Housekeeping in 2009 about how the sickness has affected his family life.

“If I’m reaching for something, they’ll just do it and carry on,” he says of his children. “They’ve learned empathy, resilience, and how to separate what’s important from what isn’t — things like vanity.”

Fox maintains good relationships with all four of his adult children, who are frequently featured on his Instagram feed.

“Our children are beautiful, sensitive, intelligent, empathetic, independent, compassionate, adventurous, and lovely people,” he said in the caption of a Mother’s Day homage to Pollan in May 2022. “It’s all your fault. We are all crazy about you. “Mother’s Day greetings.”

Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, released in 2023, starred Fox’s children. The Family Ties alum spoke to PEOPLE in May about the project and what his family thought about cameras in their lives. “They all gave me their approval. “And then they retracted their permission at various points,” he explained.
