The actor recently got into an online spat with YouTuber FaZe Rain about her participation in Rain’s esports and gaming organization, FaZe Clan.

When Grace brought Rain’s drug overdose into the mix, followers were angered at the explicit and ‘unnecessary’ reference to the streamer’s history amid their online battle.

Grace, a content producer and actor best known for her role as Chrissy Cunningham in Stranger Things, is the newest celebrity to join the FaZe Clan.

Her inclusion in the group appeared to ruffle some feathers in the Twitch community, who argued that fresh recruits like Grace were steering the brand’s actual mission away from its origins.

Rain labeled Grace’s acceptance into the Clan as ‘political,’ noting that her background as an actor gave her an advantage.

Grace then reacted to the claim, saying, “I’m sorry sir, were you in the meeting with us?” Were you present? No, I’ve never met you, and that’s not why FaZe hired me.

“That is definitely how I got the meeting, and I will give you credit for that.” That’s how I landed the meeting. But it is not the reason I signed.”

“The things we discussed in the meeting are why I have,” the star concluded. So, to everyone saying that, to Rain saying that, get f***ing destroyed. You weren’t there, therefore you have no notion.”

Rain responded to Grace’s initial remark by saying, “Grace, I’m sorry. All I have to say is that you are Valorant Gold. Even if you only appeared in one episode of Stranger Things, make it your entire personality.”

“You discovered Twitch through Tumblr,” he said. You not only haven’t hit a trick shot, but you have no idea what the f*** that is!

“I made my first million in this industry when you were still playing with Barbies.” On top of that, you’re extremely mid, which I would never let touch me even on my most inebriated night.”

Grace responded to Rain’s statements about not knowing what a trick shot was and went one step further by bringing up his near-fatal drug overdose.

“I just want to put a trigger warning… so if you need to leave the live, I understand,” she said before starting the talk. There may be some topics you don’t want to discuss right now, which is understandable, but I do.”

“He says I don’t even know what a trick shot is, and you’re right, I don’t,” Grace admitted.

“I know that’s what you’re known for.” But I recognize you, Rain, as the person who nearly overdosed on a live stream, and I know you’re better now, and I’m really proud of you.”

Grace also chastised Rain for calling her a’mid’ and stating he would not allow her to ‘touch hands on him’ even if he was intoxicated.

“Considering you were in the organization at the same time as a man accused of sexually harassing multiple women while intoxicated, that is a very classy joke.” “I’m with the woman, by the way, where are you?” she said.

Grace concluded the talk by asserting that Rain said all of these things because she “is a girl.”

Her remarks have since prompted a massive backlash on social media, with many taking to Twitter to express their thoughts.

One Twitter user remarked sarcastically, “Wow, that was nice of her to bring up personal stuff like that.”

Another said, “This felt really out of place and unnecessary.”

“Yeah, she went the wrong way on this, she’ll regret it in the end,” a third agreed.

Others, on the other hand, have flocked to Grace’s support in the aftermath of Rain’s alleged’misogynist’ remarks.

“Literally Justice for Grace Van Dien because if I had to deal with misogyny from my coworker’s fans, now I have to deal with misogyny from INCEL GAMERS?” one person said. Oh, it’d be the end for me.”
