A Man Was Taken Aback When He Discovered Rihanna Had Paid Him $500,000 To Move Out Of His Own Home For A Week

Spyro Malaspinas, a 48-year-old cybersecurity expert, knows all about it because he rented out his five-bedroom home to Rihanna over Super Bowl week.

He paid $7.3 million for the 6,400-square-foot mansion in the upscale community of Paradise Valley last year.

Malaspinas was approached by a property management firm with whom he had previously worked in the run-up to the 2023 Super Bowl.

They offered him $500,000 to rent out his home during the week of Super Bowl LVII, an offer he couldn’t refuse.

What he didn’t realize at the time was that they were working on behalf of Rihanna, who was seeking for a place to crash before her big comeback.

Malaspinas told the Wall Street Journal, “The last thing I am is a real estate baron.”

“I don’t have a lot of pride.” I don’t mind leaving for $500,000 every week.”

According to the cybersecurity specialist, the money he received merely to move out for a week will cover his mortgage payments for the next two years.

It wasn’t until Malaspinas signed the expensive lease that he discovered he was renting out his property to Rihanna for the week.

“My [13-year-old] daughter was absolutely thrilled,” he said to the Wall Street Journal.

Malaspinas claims he has not been to the five-bedroom house since Rihanna’s visit and has been offered ‘crazy amounts of money’ to sell.

The residence, which is located between Phoenix and Scottsdale, is in a perfect location for Rihanna to travel to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, which is only a 30-minute drive away.

The entire focus of the concert was Rihanna and her new kid on the way, with her agents later confirming she is pregnant with her second child.

Rihanna and rapper-producer partner A$AP Rocky welcomed their first kid, a baby boy, into the world last May, but The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report that the famous pair are expecting their second child.
