The revised version begins with a frantic stanza from Lamar in which he declares himself a “honorary Beyhive” member and makes a reference to artificial intelligence.
During his stanza, Lamar raps, “Hold up, wait a minute / Even AI gotta practice cloning Kendrick,” “The double entendre, the encore leftovers / I bop like tin men, the opportunities require ten men.”
“This isn’t the first time Beyoncé and Lamar have worked together on a song. In 2016, Lamar appeared on Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ hit ‘Freedom’. He made an appearance on ‘NILE,’ a tune from Beyoncé’s The Lion King soundtrack album ‘The Gift,’ in 2019.
