Robert De Niro has become a father for the first time.
In an interview published on Tuesday by ET Canada, the 79-year-old discussed his own family while promoting the new comedy film About My Father.
When asked about Robert’s parenthood experiences, the interviewer said, “I know you have six kids,” to which the actor answered, “Seven, actually.”
“I just had a baby,” he said.
Robert did not reveal any other information, such as the child’s mother. His spokesperson confirmed the information.
Throughout the chat, the Taxi Driver star pondered on his connections with his children.
“You know, my kids disagree with me at times, and they are respectful,” he explained. My 11-year-old daughter (Helen) occasionally annoys me, and I dispute with her. I adore her, but you know what I mean. And now that I have a child, there will be more to come. But that is exactly what it is.”
Robert has had two marriages. He has two children with his first wife, Diahnne Abbott: Drena and Raphael, and Elliot and Helen with his second wife, Grace Hightower.
From his romance with Toukie Smith, the Hollywood legend had twin sons, Aaron and Julian.
