Jackson Mahomes is a divisive individual. Jackson, the famous NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother, rose to popularity online.

He has also mostly become famous through viral incidents that enrage people. Mahomes was first caught on camera dancing as an homage to Sean Taylor on the sidelines. Then Mahomes tried in vain to start a fight with a number of people. As a result of writing a negative review, a Kansas City pub burned Mahomes. He has gained a bit of a reputation as a joke online due to his attitude and propensity for creating shit.

The most serious charge, though, was leveled at Mahomes earlier this year. Mahomes was accused of forcing a kiss on the Aspen Restaurant and Lounge owner in February. The woman’s claim was further supported by video footage, which showed Mahomes pulling her by the neck and kissing her despite her obvious discomfort. He is also accused of pushing a waiter inside the restaurant. It now looks that Mahomes is being investigated in connection with that incident.

Mahomes has been accused of sexual battery.

Around 8:45 a.m. EDT on April 3, the 22-year-old Mahomes was detained and lodged at Johnson County Detention Center. In addition, he allegedly faced sexual battery charges in connection with the February incident at the Aspen Restaurant and Lounge. This is characterized by the state of Missouri as “a person commits the offense of sexual abuse in the first degree if he or she subjects another person to sexual contact when that person is incapacitated, incapable of consent, or lacks the capacity to consent, or by the use of forcible compulsion.”

In the meantime, Mahomes’ legal counsel refuted the accusations when they emerged in March. Brandon Davies stated in the statement, “We have given law enforcement the resources and evidence they need to assess the claims against Jackson. “The appropriate context must be given to every human contact. A brief excerpt from any video is never released with sufficient context. We trust the procedure and anticipate an early conclusion to the issue. Law enforcement appears to believe there is sufficient justification to detain Mahomes, though. According to reports, Mahomes has a $100,000 bail set.
