Even if it was a little change, there has been another change at Marvel’s Blade. The script has been in the works for a long, according to Nic Pizzolatto, the creator of True Detective.
The film, which follows the daytrotting half-vampire warrior (and his deadly effectiveness in dispatching full fang club members), has had a bumpy ride thus far. It lost its previous director Bassam Tariq due to schedule conflicts that appeared to be more related to writing concerns.
Yann Demange was given the directorial duties, while Michael Starburry was hired to work on a fresh draft.
We now seem to be in for a Detective reunion, as Mahershala Ali, who will wield Blade’s sword, appeared in the third season of the program.
The time is surely ticking since Marvel and Disney want to release this one in theaters by September of next year.
