The former co-anchor of CNN This Morning said on the red carpet at the Time 100 gala that while the resignation was unexpected, it is now in the past a few days after Don Lemon confirmed he had been sacked from CNN.

When Lemon arrived at the all-star media event (at which CNN CEO Chris Licht also participated), which was covered by The Hollywood Reporter, numerous reporters approached him and inquired about how the former host was faring following the announcement.

Lemon paused to chat with a select few media outlets, stating that he will take the summer off to recharge before deciding what to do next. If there was anything he could have done differently, he said, “I live my life with no regrets and whatever I did, I owned,” adding, “I don’t look back and don’t want to change things in the past.”Go forward.

The former Don Lemon Tonight presenter then declared that he will be relaxing with his family this summer by going to the beach and boating. He said, “I’m lucky enough to be in a situation where I can do that. “I’ve got time. Even though I want another work, I don’t have to leave right now.

But Lemon insisted that he is still eager for the upcoming installment and making an effort to think positively.

I believe life is short, and you have to bob and weave and handle everything life throws at you, he remarked. “I never imagined that I’d be at work one evening and receive a call informing me that my sister had passed away, but I had to deal with that. My dad’s early death from diabetes was not something I anticipated.… There are many unexpected things that happen to you, but I’ve survived them all. I come from a good, solid family in Louisiana, and I have a lot of supporters and lovers.

On Monday, Lemon posted a tweet stating that his agent had told him that CNN had fired him. “I’m in awe. He wrote, “After 17 years at CNN, I would have believed that someone in management would have had the decency to notify me directly. But I never had any hint that I wouldn’t be allowed to continue working at the network. It is obvious that there are some bigger concerns at play, he continued.

Lemon was “offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter,” CNN PR stated in a later statement, calling his explanation of the choice “inaccurate.”

Don Lemon and CNN “parted ways,” according to a message from CNN CEO Chris Licht to team members. Licht wrote: “Don will forever be a part of the CNN family and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We’ll be supporting him in his future pursuits and sending him our best wishes.

With Lemon’s unexpected departure, CNN’s morning lineup will once again be changed. There is currently no information available on who, if anyone, will replace CNN This Morning hosts Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow.

Collins and Harlow echoed Licht’s memo’s assertion on Tuesday’s program. “Over the past six months, Don played a significant role in this show. He was one of the first CNN anchors to invite me on his program, according to Collins. It goes without saying that I’ll never forget that. Chris and I both agree. We hope the best for him.
