The intended year for Jonathan Majors’ breakthrough was 2023. Majors came to the MCU after appearing in the 2019 films Last Black Man in San Francisco and Da Five Bloods.

He was first presented as “He Who Remains” in the Disney+ series Loki, a nod to comics legend Kang as the upcoming major MCU antagonist. Then, in this year’s Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, he made a clear cameo as Kang. However, Majors also had appearances in Magazine Dreams, a bodybuilder’s warped quest for physical perfection movie festival favorite, and Creed III, the third installment of Michael B. Jordan’s popular Rocky prequel.

However, all of that might be coming to an end gradually. Majors was taken into custody on March 25 on accusations of harassment, assault, and strangling. In response to a claim that he had assaulted a 30-year-old lady in New York, this was said. Majors was released from detention after publicly refuting the accusations, but the next day he was brought before the court. According to recent reports, Majors’ professional career is now being impacted by the ongoing legal actions.

Majors Disagrees With Reps And Is Removed From Several Projects

Deadline reported that a number of businesses and prospective projects have severed relations with Majors. In the days following Majors’ original arrest, the US Army discontinued an advertising campaign that featured him. However, 360 Entertainment, his agent, has subsequently parted ways with him. This comes following a related action taken by PR company The Lede Company soon after his detention.

Majors has apparently also been cut from a number of prospective cinematic projects. This includes The Man in My Basement by Nadia Latif and the Otis Redding biography Otis and Zelma. The Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball have likewise canceled an advertisement campaign that featured Majors, following the US Army’s lead. What about Marvel, though? Majors is slated to be the antagonist that the MCU develops in Phases Five and Six, as was already established. Additionally, Majors has already wrapped up filming for Loki season two. But according to Deadline’s sources, there haven’t yet been any discussions at Marvel about replacing Majors. Despite this, it’s obvious that Majors has quickly gone from being in high demand to being despised.
